Optimization of Execution Logs

This improvement aims to facilitate data processing for the dashboard, enhances the user experience with JIRA requirements, lightens and clarifies logs, and allows direct navigation to the editing section.

• Removing prefixes for better readability and more faithful matching with the editor.

• Adding direct links to different sections of the editor for quick access.

• Log display adapted to the user's chosen theme, offering a personalized visual experience.

Batch Processing of Executions

It is now possible to process executions in "batch," allowing for the stopping or deletion of multiple executions simultaneously. This improvement makes mass test management easier, providing users with significant time savings and greater flexibility in handling executions, avoiding the need to manage them individually.

Completion of the Name Change

The name change process, initiated in version 4.0.0, is now complete.

• Library name change: GoTest is officially renamed Rapid QA.

• Upgrade of the Chrome extension for recording tests (Recorder).

• URL change: /askida will become /rapidqa.

• Public API context change: /askida will become /rapidqa.

Improvements

• Generation of new encoded URLs including the tenant context, offering better access control when sharing the following components:

  • All sections of the editor part.

  • Execution page, manual execution link, audit log, scheduler.

• Improved readability of read-only fields with a gray background, now clearer and easier to read.

• Introduction of Virtual Scrolling to display multiple data rows without performance loss and without pagination on the following components:

  • Editor: Project, Test plans, feature, Scenario, step.

  • System: Tag, resource file, remote library.

  • Others: User management, Rights management, execution scheduling.

Corrections

This version brings several fixes to improve system stability and performance, as well as user interface (UI) adjustments and documentation updates.

User Interface (UI):

• Improved text readability of tooltips for the execution button (on a single line).

• Resolution of issues related to Dataset columns, including scrollbar display in "Reorder" mode.

• Various translation and display adjustments in French.

Component Behavior:

• Resolved performance issues when displaying large amounts of data (e.g., Resource Files, Tags).

• Fixed errors with Script Runner executing PostMan scripts with errors.

• Adjusted hybrid execution behavior to avoid errors when the selected tag only concerns manual tests.

Specific Errors:

• Fixed a series of bugs affecting "System Components," notably during Drag & Drop and use of refresh buttons.

• Corrected several anomalies related to the use of filters in different system sections like Tags.

• Resolved various issues with Dataset data, including color and column management errors.

Update Impacts and Required Actions

URL Change:

To directly access the system's various components, the URL has changed from /askida to /rapidqa.

• Required Action: Replace /askida with /rapidqa in all previously shared bookmarks or links, as they may not function correctly after the update.

Public API Change:

The context of public APIs has also changed from /askida to /rapidqa.

• Required Action: Update all scripts or integrations calling the API by replacing /askida with /rapidqa to ensure uninterrupted API calls.

Chrome Extension Upgrade for Web Recorder

Although the previous version of the extension remains functional, it is recommended to upgrade.

• Steps to follow:

  • Remove the current extension from your Chrome browser.

  • Download the new version of the extension from Rapid QA.

  • Install the new extension to continue recording your tests.
